The First Covered Skating Rink in the World

There are definitely countless of created skating rinks for the past many years, but when talking about the first covered skating rink in the world, this has to be the Quebec Skating Rink. They built this remarkable structure back in 1851 and located in Quebec City, Quebec in Canada. It stands near the St. Lawrence River as detailed by the shared information about the history of this structure.

According to the published information through Wikipedia, it has a capacity of 1,400 seats and can accommodate 3,500 spectators as well. Although they were able other skating rinks from the past years, the Quebec Skating rink already made a history and expanded in year 1891.

Before they close the structure in 1918, they already recorded countless of skating events and made this historic skating rink an important landmark in Canada.
