ELECTRICAL TRANSDUCER EBOOK!
These transducers act as the interface between the power system and the measurement ical transducers are specifically transducers for converting the raw voltage and currents in a power system into useful and meaningful electrical signals which can be used in and transmitted about the measurement system. Jump to Mechanical and electrical transducers - Transducers that convert physical quantities into into electrical are called electrical transducers.Transducer types · Sensors and actuators · Characteristics · Applications. Electrical transducers may be classified as active or passive. The active transducers generate electric current or voltage directly in response to stimulation.

An electrical transducer is a device which is capable of converting the physical quantity into a proportional electrical quantity such as voltage or electric electrical transducer.
Hence it converts any quantity to be measured into usable electrical signal. Electrical transducer physical quantity which is to be measured can be pressure, level, temperature, displacement etc. It is most commonly used in resistance thermometers or thermistors for measurement of temperature.
The input given to electrical transducer sensors is in the form of displacement and the output obtained is in the form of change in inductance or reluctance and production of the electrical transducer currents.
When force is applied to these transducers, they produce voltage that can be measured easily.

They are used for measurement of pressure, acceleration and force. An example electrical transducer a device in which motion is applied via a system of pivots to a baffle that can be moved closer to or farther away from a nozzle that emits a stream of air. The amount of resistance created by the baffle affects the amount of back pressure behind the nozzle, creating a pneumatic signal.
Hydraulic systems tend to be designed similarly to pneumatic systems, except that hydraulic systems use hydraulic liquid pressure rather than air pressure.

Another example is voice coils electrical transducer, which are used in loudspeakers to translate an electrical audio signal into sound and in dynamic microphones to translate sound waves into an audio signal. The signal is modulated by electrical transducer sensor to produce an output signal.
For example, a thermistor does not generate any electrical signal, but by passing an electric current through it, its resistance can be measured by detecting variations in the current or voltage across the thermistor.

Apart from these classification, some kind of transducers electrical transducer known as opto-electronic transducers. They use the principle of converting light energy into electrical energy.
Some of the examples of opto-electronic transducers are photoconductive cell, photovoltaic cell, solar cell, photomultiplier tube and photomultiplier. Electrical transducer requirements of the Electrical transducer:
